Allow selecting a different action for practically any item on the ORF lists. For instance, more reliable DNS blacklist would reject the email, less reliable ones would cause only the subject to be tagged. Similarily, proven Keyword Blacklist expressions would cause email rejection and ones added only recently would cause tagging only.

Maybe an option to specify that a particular DNSBL or Keyword needs a hit on any another less-than-perfect DNSBL or Keyword before blacklisting. Or scoring: allow each DNSBL or Keyword to have a blocking contribution score (defaulted at 1) from 0 to 1. We'd sort the DNSBL lookup order so the higher score-contributing (more trustworthy) DNSBLs are consulted first. Any total DNSBL score of 1 or higher would result in blacklisting.

@Frank: there is a separate request for SCL scores ;)

Hi Vamsoft, would this allow us to customize SMTP responses per attachment filtering expression, or is that a different request? Thanks

@Krisztian, isn't the SCL for Exchange? I don't want to do Exchange-level scoring and actions, only ORF.
by cfrankb more than 10 years ago
@Bill Stewart: Yes, this would also allow \SMTP response customization.

@cfrankb: SCL is Exchange-only. Scoring (a.k.a. weighting, as in assigning scores to various tests + expressions and take action based on the final, summarizes score) is currently not listed as a feature request.

More common set of tests and script with rules, actions. Example tests: SPF, DKIM, RBL, RDNS. Exmple actions: Reject, Tag, Redirect. Rules: +RDNS Reject +RBL [rbl name] Reject +RBL [rbl name] Tag +SPF -DKIM Tag +Agent [ext.agent name] Redirect [e-mail] Where "+" - blacklist, "-" Whitelist. May be with separate score for every line.
