How did the licensing change with ORF 6 Fusion?

With the version 6.0 update, we have moved to a subscription-based licensing model.
-
Continued use of the software now requires and an active subscription which
can be renewed annually. The subscription fees are
identical to previous SMA prices.
-
Perpetual licenses are no longer available for purchase.
-
Software Maintenance Agreements (SMA) cannot be renewed anymore.
-
ORF now requires a license key
for activation, which can be retrieved anytime from the
Client Portal (You must be
a registered representative of your organization in order to access the license key).
-
There is no "registered build" of the software anymore. Trial installations can be converted
to fully functional ones using a valid (subscription) license key.
-
Active ORF SMAs were converted to ORF Subscription Licenses retaining the SMA expiration date
and the licensed user count. A free 3-months extension was granted to customers with active
SMAs and to returning customers who decided to transition to subscription until May 31, 2019.
-
The 'Fusion for SBS' edition was retired due to lack of demand. Active ORF Fusion
for SBS licenses were upgraded to the ORF Fusion edition (free-of-charge), which runs on
Windows Server Essentials (formerly known as Windows Small Business Server, or SBS) platforms
as well.
