Mail notification sender address could not be retrieved from the registry or it was invalid RSS Back to forum

I'm trying to start ORF and receiving this error...

Could not start the ORF Service. Error Exception: "Mail notification sender address could not be retrieved from the registry or it was invalid.". Last operation: checking the log settings.

Any ideas?

@gavpop111: Hello gavpop111,

You should double-check the email address configured on the Settings tab of the "Event Configuration" dialog (ORF Administration Tool: System > Log > Email Notifications - Configuration > Settings). The error message indicates that you have set an invalid email address for event notifications (or there is some issue with the current address). Try resetting the email address, save the ORF configuration (Ctrl + S) and start the ORF service.
