Errors after Exchange Update - ORF Forums

After updating Exchange 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 10, I am seeing:

On Arrival error: Unexpected exception EEngineError "Error EAccessViolation updating the MIME information: Access violation at address 762B9B60 in module 'msvcrt.dll'. Read of address 7EC20000".

I am using version 5.3 on Exchange 2010 SP3 (Update Rollup 10, obviously)

This is an extremely rare error caused by a bug in one of the Windows components (CDOSYS) which ORF uses to parse emails. Even though the error shows up in the ORF logs, it was definitely not caused by ORF. This error usually occurs when certain heavily malformed emails are received, but it disappears quite fast as the spammer corrects the email format.

Unless you receive other error messages as well, you can safely ignore these log entries.
