Hi,

lately I'm getting some errors from time to time.
F.I. Timeout waiting for External Agent "Vamsoft Backscatter Protection Agent" to finish with email file "sce-49D37DCB095E21D74D8B18625FFBBC0C.eml".

As this seems to happen more often since version 5 I'm a bit curious. Maybe I'm just watching because of the new notification mails in version 5. ;)

@n.fehlauer: What is your current timeout value for the External Agent test (Administration Tool: Blacklists / External Agents, double-click the Backscatter Protection Agent, Run tab)? Do you see this logged for all emails, or only occasionally?

Hi,

just occasionally. Timeout is set to 5 seconds.

@n.fehlauer: I recommend increasing the timeout value to 10 seconds temporary to see if that solves the problem. It is possible the agent simply need slightly more time to finish the test on some emails (e.g., larger ones).
