General Information

This help file section contains general information about using the ORF Reporting Tool.

Reporting Tool Window

Visual components

1. Main Window
   The window above.
2. Menu bar
   The menu in the upper left corner of the Main Window.
3. Tool links
   Shortcuts to launch the Administration Tool and the Log Viewer.
4. Toolbar
   Shortcuts to various functions of the Reporting Tool like creating, opening, saving reports, connecting to a local or remote ORF instance, network settings, and invoking the ORF Help. Notifications about various events and errors are also indicated on this toolbar.
5. Connection status
   Shows which ORF instance the Administration Tool is currently connected to (local or remote).
6. Navigation & Information bar button
   A button on the left side of the Main Window. Click this button to toggle the Navigation & Information Bar.
7. Navigation & Information bar
   This is a separate bar on the left side of the Main Window and has two purposes: when in Navigation mode, it allows quick navigation between the report sections. In the Information mode, a brief summary of the given report section is displayed when the button is clicked in the section heading.
8. Report section
   The actual report data is displayed in this area.
