Remote connections are not encrypted, but establishing the connection requires a password, which is transmitted in a secured, encoded way (not as plain text).
Though remote connections are considered safe, we recommend using a secured VPN connection or a similary safe method when managing your ORF configuration from outside your secured private intranet.
