Entries such as the one below keep appearing in the ORF logs. What does this mean and is this something I should be worried about?

DNS error. Test: "SURBL: MULTI-SURBL", server: "10.1.1.1", domain: "reades.co.uk.multi.surbl.org", record type: A, protocol: UDP. DNS timeout error.

ORF is configured to use our internal DNS server which runs SBS 2008 and has forwarders setup to our ISPs DNS servers. "Use root hints is no forwarders are available" is also enabled and there are no conditional forwarders setup.

Other blacklists work fine, it just seems to be surbl.org which we have problems with.

@David Reade: I have just read the DNS requirements and can now confirm our server no longer has forwarders setup. However requests to surbl.org are still timing out. Any ideas?

@David Reade: Do all lookups time out for multi.surbl.org? If they do and only for multi.surbl.org, your DNS server have difficulty reaching the name servers of that specific zone. Is it possible that you've exceeded the limits in http://www.surbl.org/usage-policy and surbl.org has firewalled your DNS?
